Hilarious and mannerly, great acting (especially female person lead) even with the cliche plot device!

If you read the synopsis, this seems like every other contract-marriage drama but this one does information technology very well. Although this testify might seem like it'll prey on cliche tropes, information technology really is one of the almost charming cdramas of the year in my opinion.

Characters: Offset off, you lot have actually supportive parents. They're not the stereotypical "evil" in-laws. Both parents are good-hearted and desire the best for their children and just want them to exist happy.

You also have interesting side couples. At get-go glance, y'all might call up a dear-triangle will deter the show, but it actually doesn't. At commencement, y'all might observe the SML as a "bad guy" but you realize that he's actually harmless and caring deep down - it doesn't fall into the pithole of an annoying 2nd male atomic number 82. He really cares for the FL and her wants/desires. The love-triangle essentially stops a bit halfway through and SML starts to focus on the SFL, who is one of the cutest "best-friend-character" of the FL. Even the initially annoying Tang Ping stops her bratty nature relatively apace and becomes a supportive grapheme instead, Overall, the characters are very enjoyable.

The principal female lead is a forceful and strong CEO while the male lead is a caring, tranquillity, and considerate doctor. It's overnice to see more than strong female person leads. Even though she's assertive, Zhou Yutong is SO funny and adorable as well. And then many individual cute moments + cute relationship moments. Simon Gong plays his role great equally a foil to the FL. There's great character developments and you begin to come across a office reversal in the later episodes which makes everything so much more quirky and entertaining. Honestly, the leads + supporting cast are done then well!

Plot: It'southward aught too special only I merely wanted to say that it's a very funny drama. Information technology's not really external conflict/plot-driven but more character-driven which I enjoyed a lot. There'south actually "laugh out loud" moments. The chemistry between all the characters are great (leads with each other, different combinations of lead with supporting, supporting with supporting). Small misunderstandings are resolved relatively quick and so information technology's a nice sentinel virtually of the fourth dimension. The well-nigh important matter to note which might be a SPOILER is that at that place's actually a fourth dimension-skip which breaks this show out of the mold of a generic contract-union drama. I generally don't similar giving a "spoiler" only I feel similar this ane isn't that "important" to keep subconscious merely it'southward however important to mention since potential viewers might want to know. I unremarkably detest a plot device similar this, simply in Brainstorm Again, it'due south done very well -- reasons are valid, characters change and grow afterwards.

However, one event I take with the plot is the business politics side. This is the one part of the drama where it feels forced and unnatural. Graphic symbol motivations are unbelievable. It's not particularly prevalent merely whenever it pops up, it just makes me want to fast-frontward [but it's very minimal]. Honestly borderlining unwatchable for me; give thanks god the romcom aspect is washed well to keep me locked in.

Conclusion: Watch this for the ambrosial characters. Strong female person lead, nice male lead, graphic symbol evolution, likable supporting cast. Even a show that seems to accept many cliches, it actually subverts many obvious ones and is a bang-up watch. It veers abroad from the melodrama tropes and is fresh and refreshing.
